Welcome students, families and community members to Williams Upper Elementary School!

I am honored to serve this community and I am excited to begin working alongside all of you. As I enter my first year as principal of WUES, I will work to build upon all of the great traditions, systems and ideals that make WUES such a special place.  However, a new year and new leadership also brings about the opportunity to find new ways to do things and a new lens to see how we can go from great to PHENOMENAL.

I’d like to share just a snapshot of who I am.  I have been an educator for 29+ years.  I began as a classroom teacher and worked my way to site and district administrator.  After taking a year off, I realized that I missed students, so here I am, a site administrator, again.  There is no place I’d rather be.  My husband, son and I live in Woodland.  My daughter is a Junior at SFSU, living her best life in the city by the bay.  I love dogs, traveling, spending time with friends and of course, my family.  I believe that laughter is the best medicine and I love candy.  The Williams USD staff has made me feel so welcome and for that I am truly grateful.

The last 18 months have been a huge test of our resilience.  Our WUES family is looking forward to meeting the challenges that this pandemic has revealed. Our focus is to bring your student(s) an amazing educational experience as we listen, learn and continue to grow together.

I am committed to the success of every child, and will work collaboratively with you so that your student(s) can attain successes regularly.  This year, we will be intentional with building relationships, communication, and instruction. With these three areas at the forefront of everything we do, our hope is to make every classroom a place where students feel loved, supported, and successful.  WUES is committed to preparing and empowering students for a future of endless possibilities.

The Safety of our students, families and staff is our number one priority. As we are in the midst of a global pandemic, we are adhering to all safety guidelines which include:  wearing face coverings and taking all preventative measures.

I am looking forward to an amazing year. 2021-2022 will definitely come with its challenges, however with commitment, passion and determination, we will make this an amazing year for our WUES families!
